Paul is a thirty year veteran of the golf, hotel and food and beverage business. A qualified PGA Golf professional and winner of five professional tournaments Paul has been ranked in the top 100 teachers in the game and PGA of Europe 5 star Professional of the Year in 2007.His experience includes coaching some of the world’s leading tour players, instruction contributor to various publications, and television commentary at the Open Golf Championship and European Tour events.
For five years responsible for Starwood Hotels and Resorts’ golf operations based in Costa Smeralda, Italy, Paul has opened and managed some of the leading golf clubs and resorts on three continents, including Whistler, Canada, Loch Lomond, Scotland, East Sussex National, England , Dubai Creek in the United Arab Emirates, and Doha Golf Club in Qatar. His experience also includes the development, pre opening and opening of numerous major new facilities in Europe during the last five years.
He is currently Vice President of European Operations for Troon Golf and has spearheaded the development of the company in Europe from one course to the 43 it has today in its division. Paul is responsible for Operations and Business Development in Europe and has lead various acquisition and due diligence teams including the 125 million euro purchase of the Vilamoura development in Portugal in 2007. He is currently also working on multi use development sites for integrated resort projects which include hotels, real estate, golf and array of ancillary facilities.
